Healing through Relationship
Ashland has been walking with people in various environments since she was a college student, cultivating a practice of witnessing, holding, and advocating within unique cultural contexts for over a decade. She wouldn’t be where she is today without the skilled work of seasoned therapists who’ve held space for her own story over the years. The counseling room is sacred ground; she’s experienced it firsthand from both sides.
Her space is for individual clients bravely hoping to look under the surface and explore what’s holding them back, heal what’s been broken, reclaim relational confidence, reconnect with themselves, and look to the future with peace.
It’s for couples who are committed to each other but need help communicating effectively, resolving conflicts with care and repair, and rediscovering their sense of connection.
It’s for any woman lost in the throes of infertility, pregnancy, or postpartum in need of a beacon of hope or a right to grieve. It’s a space to receive support, heal from birth trauma, or reconnect with a partner after birth. Infants are most welcome to join!
Most experience Ashland as compassionate yet direct with a healthy dose of humor sprinkled throughout. She takes an integrative and collaborative approach to the work, blending concepts from psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, somatic therapy and others to form a client-centered and trauma-informed therapeutic alliance. That very alliance consistently proves to be the best agent of change. Ashland’s goal is to walk with clients on a meaningful journey toward emotional wellness and fulfilling relationships - with self and with others. It’s her deepest honor to work with you.
[Beyond work, you can find her outside or near a body of water with her husband, two playful daughters, and German shorthaired pointer. She dreams for fun, travels often, tends deep-rooted friendships with people all over the world, and belts musical numbers while she cooks dinner.]
